· Provide competent guidance to technical superintendents; · Ensure timely reporting to the fleet manager and senior management of the company on any serious equipment failures on the company's ships and measures to eliminate them; · Ensure proper maintenance of all vessels; · Annually develop the goals of the technical department in terms of qualitative and quantitative indicators, participate in the development of corporate goals of the Company, as well as ensure the achievement of the Department's goals; · To direct the conduct of surveys and inspections of vessels and to monitor the completeness and accuracy of the reports provided on the technical condition and required work; · Lead the process of building new ships, as well as be responsible for overseeing the construction of new ships and participate in the purchase of ships; · Approve the volume of work on dry dock and ship inspection and monitor the fulfillment of obligations under them; · Approve budgets and monitor costs, as well as monitor the progress of renovation, major repairs, and other engineering programs; · Be responsible for communication with customers within the framework of contractual obligations; · Provide professional development and training for technical service personnel; · Regularly evaluate and certify personnel under direct supervision.
